In the history of cricket, there have been numerous pairs of brothers who represented their country. Some of these pairs went on to play international cricket together for a long period of time and had great success as well. Steve Waugh & Mark Waugh being the the greatest example, as they went on to play three World Cups for Australia, together.
Presently as well, there are a few active pairs of brothers playing cricket for their respective teams. Interestingly, if we group some of these pairs on paper, a full fledged cricket team seems to be created. This is how the T20 Playing XI of the these active cricket-playing brothers look.
Shaun Marsh
Shaun Marsh is a left-handed top-order Australian batsman. He was included for the T20 World Cup 2021 but was ruled out due to an injury. He is a seasoned campaigner and knows very well how to build up the innings, hence he would be our first opener.
Kamran Akmal
Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal would open the innings with Marsh. Kamran is a wicketkeeper batsman who has represented Pakistan in all the three formats of the game. Kamran Akmal was last seen playing this year itself for the Kotli Lions in the Kashmir Premier League.
Umar Akmal
Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal’s brother, is a Wicket-keeper as well. He was last seen playing in the 2019-2020 season for Central Punjab. He has been a handy top order batsman over the years and hence would be our number 3.
Mitchell Marsh
Mitchell Marsh, younger brother of Shaun Marsh, is a very effective all-rounder. He was the hero of the T20 WC 2021 Final as he helped Australia lift the Cup with the help of his 77-run knock. It would be great to have him at the 4th position as he can keep the scoreboard ticking at good pace.
Hardik Pandya
The explosive Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, will be our number 5. Pandya bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast-medium. Keeping in mind his hitting ability he would be a great player to have at this position. He was last seen playing for India in the T20 World Cup 2021.
Sam Curran
Sam Curran is a left-handed batsman who bowls left-arm fast-medium. The England Allrounder was selected for the T20 World Cup 2021 but was dropped later due to a back injury. He is a great all-rounding option for the team and is our number 6.
Krunal Pandya
Krunal Pandya, alike his younger brother Hardik Pandya, is an allrounder as well. He bats left-handed and bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He would be a great option at number 7, given his hitting abilities. Krunal provides a great balance in the team with his spin bowling.
Rahul Chahar
Rahul Chahar is a right-arm leg break bowler. He will be the specialist spinner for our team.
Tom Curran
Tom Currran is a bowling-allrounder who bowls right-arm fast-medium and bats right-handed. The England Cricket Team named him as a replacement for his brother Sam Curran ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021. He will be one of the three seamers in our team.
Deepak Chahar
Rahul Chahar’s elder cousin brother Deepak Chahar is a right-arm medium-fast bowler who represents India in the white-ball format. Deepak is known for his ability to swing the ball both ways and he generally bowls in the batting powerplay. He will be leading the bowling department of our team.

Marco Jansen
Quite young to the international Cricket, Macro Jansen is a 21-year old Left-arm fast bowler. The express bowler has recently made his international test debut against India in which he impressed everyone by picking up 5 wickets.
Duan Jansen (12th man)
Duan Jansen is Marco Jansen’s twin brother who plays first-class cricket for North West. He will be our 12th man.
