India took a prolonged break after clinching victory in the 2nd Test match at Vizag against England. During the 9-day interval before the commencement of the 3rd Test, players spent quality time with their families. Jasprit Bumrah, the player of the match in the 2nd Test, also dedicated time to his wife Sanjana Ganesan, as evident from his Instagram posts. Amidst the break, the cricketer and his wife collaborated for an ad shoot and posted the ad on their social media handles.
It’s a Valentine’s Day-themed ad for L’Oreal’s salon. However, a user in the comment section chose to body-shame Sanjana Ganesan, writing, “Bhabhi moti lag rahi hai (You are looking fat).” Sanjana Ganesan noticed the comment and was quick to schooled the user.
“School ki science textbook toh yaad hoti nahi hai tumse, bada auraton ke bodies ke baare mein comment kar raho ho. Bhaago yaha se (You can’t even remember school science textbooks, how dare you comment on women’s bodies. Run away)” replied Jasprit Bumrah’s wife. Soon the comment went viral and she later deleted it.
Sanjana Ganesan is an IT professional who has also worked as a presenter for the Star Sports channel. She gained popularity after serving as a host during the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Earlier in her career, she worked as a model. During her tenure with Star Sports, she met the Indian speedster, and they both started liking each other. They tied the knot in 2021 and were blessed with a baby boy in September 2023.
