Comilla Victorians won the BPL 2023

In a high-scoring thriller, Imrul Kayes’s Comilla Victorians emerged victorious over Mortaza’s Strikers at the Shere Bangla Stadium.

For Sylhet, their in-form batter and also the top scorer of the tournament Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 64 runs to power Sylhet to 175 runs. Along with Shanto, experienced Mushfiqur Rahim played a blinder of innings scoring 74 runs off 48 balls.

In reply, the Victorians were off to a flyer despite losing Sunil Narine and captain Imrul Kayes inside 3 overs. Liton Das and Johnson Charles formed a solid partnership together for the 3rd wicket before Liton was caught on Ruble Hossian’s delivery.

The game was at a very crucial phase and then Moeen Ali stepped in to release pressure from Charles. The English all-rounder scored quick 25 runs off just 17 deliveries.

Journalist confused BPL 2023 Champions with ‘Broken English’

After the final game when Comilla Victorians players were celebrating their win over Sylhet, a journalist was interviewing every player. The English of the interviewer was very poor as he was not able to convey his simple questions to the players.

International players like Sunil Narine, Andre Russel, and Moeen Ali were unable to get what he was trying to ask them.

The journalist actually wanted to ask the player about their performance in the final game but wasn’t able to say it in a clear manner.

He was only able to say say “Final match your performance what happening” which made the players very confused about what he actually wanted to ask them.

The players were still somehow able to guess what he wanted to ask them and answered it very calmly.
