When will Bumrah return to team India? is a question many have in their mind for a long time, as he missed multiple ICC events due to his back injury for which he underwent surgery in early 2023. A few months after surgery Bumrah has now shared a glimpse of his training session although he might take some time before returning to Men in Blue’s squad.

Bumrah is currently in National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bengaluru, as he is going through a rapid recovery period which only allows him to bowl seven to eight overs to regain his match fitness. This is the news that fans have been waiting for a long time and Bumrah through his Instagram account via Reel shared some snippets of his training session

“Cannot wait to see you back for team India,” BCCI’s handle commented to Bumrah’s post on Instagram. Notably, the background music in the video shared by Bumrah had the lyrics “Tell the world I’m coming home.”

A Timeline of Jasprit Bumrah’s Injury 

Bumrah last played an international match against Australia at home in September 2022, since then he has missed multiple marquee events including Asia Cup 2022, T20 World Cup 2022. Although, he was added to the Indian team for the ODI series against Sri Lanka earlier this year but was pulled out of the series due to some back pain. He was then ruled out of the IPL, 4-match Test series against the Aussies and the WTC Final 2023.

As the squad for the ODI World Cup is yet to be announced by the BCCI, he must be keeping an eye on making his comeback in the most awaited tournament. His presence could be of Vital importance to the team. However, he must be fully recovered so that he could play in the ODI World Cup 2023 which will be hosted by India.
