‘Can I touch you’ – Female Zimbabwe fans bowled over by Deepak Chahar’s cuteness

Deepak Chahar made a comeback in the team after a very long period of time due to a hamstring injury.

Team India is touring Zimbabwe after a gap of 6 long years and the fans just can’t seem to contain their excitement as they are having a wonderful time in the stadium. Team India played their first ODI match against the opponent on 18th August where KL Rahul made his comeback after a layoff due to an injury. Along with their skipper for the tour, Deepak Chahar also made his comeback and his interaction with fans post the first match is winning hearts.

Deepak Chahar wins the hearts of Zimbabwe fans

It is noteworthy that Deepak Chahar was out of the team because of a hamstring injury which he sustained during the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League. The pacer made a great comeback as he picked up three crucial Zimbabwe wickets. Though he looked a bit reserved in his run-up and delivery, he proved to be effective for the team. The pacer also interacted with the fans during which some of the female Zimbabwe fans were bowled over by his cuteness.

Deepak Chahar interacted with the Indian fans as well as the Zimbabwe fans and the female fans from Zimbabwe really liked Chahar’s humility. The bowler clicked photographs with the Indian and Zimbabwe fans and his nature won the fans over. One of the Zimbabwe female fans told the journalist Vimal Kumar, “It feels good. Honestly, he is very humble. It was great on his part that he allowed me to touch him (laughs), which is uncommon because people aren’t always comfortable.”

The pacer impressed everyone with his accurate and dominating bowling display in his comeback game. The bowler claimed three wickets which included the wickets of Innocent Kaia and T Marumani, both of whom came to open the inning. The wickets of the openers were followed by the wicket of No.3 Zimbabwe batsman Wesley Madhevere. Chahar bowled a total of 7 overs where he gave runs at an economical rate of just 3.9. Deepak Chahar was selected as the ‘Player of the Match’ for his brilliant bowling display.
