Last night, Rajasthan Royals took on SRK’s Kolkata Knight Riders. To put it simply, the outing was a forgettable one for Samson and his men. The toss went RR’s way and KKR was put in to bat first, and as it turned out; the toss was the only thing that went RR’s way.
KKR posted a competitive score of 171 on a sluggish Sharjah surface. In the quest of trying to gun down the total quickly, Royal’s innings went totally haywire. They were bundled out for just 85 runs as Rahul Tewatia’s fighting 45 turned out to be their only saving grace.
Funny confusion in Rajasthan Royal’s camp
While RR’s outing was poor in every aspect and their fans were left saddened, there was a hilarious moment mid-match. Bowling his first delivery, Shivam Mavi sent Sanju Samson back in the hut, reducing RR to 2 for 1. But even in this moment of jeopardy, the Royal’s had something to smile about as there seemed to be some confusion regarding the batting order.
Shivam Dube, who scored a match-winning 62* in his previous outing was seen walking out to the middle after Sanju’s dismissal. Anuj Rawat soon followed. RR coach Kumar Sangakkara was seen calling Dube back as Rawat was supposed to bat at 4. But since Shivam Dube was the first to walk past the boundary line, the on-field umpires made it clear that no other batter could take the field before Dube and Sangakkara had no option left, than to send in Dube back to bat.

Although the confusion gave RR fans a reason to smile, both the batters had a tough night. While Shivam stuttered and clawed his way to 18 off 20, the latter bagged a golden duck.
