The richest cricket body, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) plays a quintessential role in overseeing cricket-related matters, including the maintenance of stadiums. For the record, several cricket stadiums in the country are owned by none other than the state cricket associations. Even some private organizations own some cricket stadiums in India.

For the unversed, the cricket associations are officially connected with the BCCI and hence are responsible for the management and maintenance of the cricket stadiums in their respective regions. Of course, funding is important as well. With BCCI’s support, the state cricket associations secure funds for stadium maintenance through a wide range of resources like sponsorships, broadcasting rights, ticket sales, and government grants.
