CSK’s Twitter handle ignoring Ravindra Jadeja in latest post sparks rift rumours

Ravindra Jadeja was appointed as CSK skipper in IPL 2022 only to be replaced by MSD in the middle of the season.

Three days before IPL 2022’s opening clash between KKR and CSK, Ravindra Jadeja was announced as the new skipper of the Chennai-based franchise. It was reported that former-captain MS Dhoni had hand-picked Jadeja to groom him as CSK’s new long-term chief.

But after losing 6 of the 8 games with Ravindra Jadeja as captain, MS was reassigned the reigns. It was reported that Jaddu had relinquished the captaincy by choice.

Regardless, soon after the leadership change, Jadeja was ruled out of the second half of the season. The reason cited was a rib bruise that he picked up while fielding against RCB.

However, the timing of the the injury overlapped with Jadeja’s CSK captaincy relinquishment. Rumours of rift between CSK and Ravindra Jadeja surfaced.

Did CSK’s Twitter handle ignore Jadeja in their lastest post?

Two days ago, Chennai Super Kings’ Twitter handle shared an edit featuring Indian players and head-coach Rahul Dravid at 11:09 PM. Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Chahal, Ishan Kishan, Ravindra Jadeja and Shubman Gill amongst few others appeared in the clip.

The video was captioned, “Manikam Dravid’s Baasha tansformation” & shot from Dhawan’s phone, who got the due credit for it.

The clip was paused & flash effect was used on everyone’s arrival except (no prizes for guessing) former CSK-captain Ravindra Jadeja.

One can’t be cent-percent sure that ignoring Ravindra in their latest Tweet is an intentional call from CSK. Nonetheless, things haven’t been bright between the franchise and their star all-rounder.

There appears to be a fair amount of substance to the rumours of rift between Ravindra Jadeja and CSK as the change in captaincy was very abrupt and Jadeja did not participate in any of their remaining matches that MS Dhoni captained.

Moreover, soon after his removal as the skipper of the four-time IPL champions, CSK had unfollowed Ravindra Jadeja on Instagram.
