A new-look Dale Steyn can be seen sporting long grown hair tucked by a band around his head. Steyn has been flaunting this new look ever since he featured in the Indian Premier League 2020, coming at the back of the pandemic lockdown since March. However, an Indian fan wants the South African pacer to have his hair cut and go back to his old look. Something that Steyn hit back at and wasn’t quite comfortable with.
Fans’ Comment Upsets Dale Steyn
Dale Steyn is currently in Sri Lanka where he will feature in the Lanka Premier League for the Kandy Tuskers. Steyn flew in as cover for Pakistan bowler Sohail Tanvir who dropped out after been tested positive for Covid-19. However, as part of the protocol, Steyn is required to be in quarantine for 14 days before he can get to the action. During this time, Steyn decided to stay connected with his fans through a Q&A on his Twitter account. When one fan got carried away and asked Steyn to have long hair cut. This didn’t quite go well with the South African who clearly seemed upset in his reponse.
Steyn Hits Back With Suiting Response
The suggestion by the fan hadn’t quite gone well with Steyn. The fan had tweeted – “Dale long locks doesn’t suit you! Can you get to normal haircut?”
In his response, the Steyn wrote back, “How about I worry about my appearance and you worry about yours Mr ugly mustache.” During the 2014 ICC World T20, Dale Steyn was in the news after he flashed an unusual Mohawk hairstyle.

Dale Steyn Joins Kandy Tuskers
The Kandy Tuskers suffered back-t0-back setbacks when their star batsman Chris Gayle dropped out of the tournament citing an injury, while Pakistan bowler Sohail Tanvir was tested positive for Covid-19 on his arrival in Sri Lanka. The Tuskers then roped in South African pace bowler Dale Steyn. Steyn confirmed his participation in the inaugral league of the Lanka Premier League through his twitter handle. He will join the likes of former Indian pacer Munaf Patel and allrounder Irfan Pathan, among others.
