David Warner hints at not being a part of SRH setup anymore

The southpaw has been going through a poor run in the ongoing edition of IPL.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has had a forgettable Indian Premier League season so far. The flop show by most of their major players has put them on the last spot in the points table. One of the reasons SRH has been unsuccessful this year is the poor form of David Warner. The southpaw has been going through a rough patch which has made things worse for SRH. In the reply to a fan’s query, David Warner hinted that he may not be playing for SRH anymore.

David Warner has been the backbone of SRH’s batting line-up ever since he started playing for them. The Australian cricketer has even captained the side for quite some time. However, he was removed from captaincy when the 2021 edition of IPL started and Kane Williamson was appointed the new skipper of the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

David Warner hints at his future in SRH

Interestingly, Warner was not on the field during the match against Rajasthan Royals and a fan took notice of the same asking, “Is WARNER in the stadium… We didn’t spot him?!!” To everyone’s surprise, David Warner replied to this query hinting that he won’t be playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad ever again. He wrote, “unfortunately won’t be again but keep supporting please.”

Unfortunately, Warner hasn’t had the season that he would have liked this year. The batsman was even dropped from the side and was called back in only when Bairstow backed out of the tournament. After playing two games, he was dropped again in the game against Rajasthan Royals as Jason Roy replaced him as the opener. It is to note that David Warner has won the Orange Cap three times playing for SRH, the only batsman to do so in the history of IPL.

SRH has no chance of qualifying into the playoffs, but they can spoil other teams’ party by winning the rest of their matches. The team had a consolation win against Rajasthan Royals on Monday. This was the only second victory for the team in the 10 matches they have played.
