The Australian team is going to tour Pakistan for 3 Tests, 3 ODIs and a single T20I. The tour will commence from 04th March with the first Test in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The Aussies will be playing in Pakistan after a long gap of 24 years as they played their last match on Pakistan soil in 1998. The cricketers are not allowed to take their family members on the tour due to security reasons.

David Warner has been selected in the Test squad and will not be a part of the limited-overs format. The Aussie cricketer got sentimental as he posted an emotional goodbye message before flying to Pakistan to fulfil his duty for the nation. David Warner posted a collage of his family pictures on Instagram and wrote a touching message for his family members which got the netizens emotional.

After the completion of the tour, David Warner will be back in India as he will represent Delhi Capitals in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. After he was released by Sunrisers Hyderabad, Warner was bought in the Mega Auction by the Delhi Capitals for INR 6.25 crore. The Australian players are set to miss the initial matches of IPL as their Pakistan tour will end on 05th April.

For the uninitiated, the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League will have 10 teams battling for the trophy. Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are the two new entrants in the league and their arrival will only heat things up in the tournament.
