MS Dhoni reminded the world once again why he is rated amongst one of the best finishers around the world.

The 33rd Match of the Indian Premier League between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians turned out to be a closer encounter than the fans had anticipated. With both the sides making plenty of mistakes, it was CSK at the end that came out victorious.

The match went right down to the wire and it was MSD’s last over finish that saved the Chennai camp who were chasing a below par total of 156.

MSD’s last over finish garners praise

The fans witnessed the classic Dhoni on Thursday evening as he once again produced a short but match-winning knock for his team. The former CSK captain lit up the stadium with his extraordinary hitting in the last over and the netizens, cricket fraternity went berserk after MSD’s last over finish.

Dhoni has been garnering praise from all the corners and a lot cricketers and analysts have praised him for his absolutely unbelievable batting in the last over. RP Singh even wants the keeper-batsman to come out of retirement for 2022 T20 World Cup.

The game between CSK and MI proved to an absolute thriller for the viewers and MSD’s last over finish was cherry on the cake. Dhoni has proved yet again why he is rated amongst one of the best finishers in the world cricket.

CSK needed 17 runs off the last over and Pretorious got out on the very first ball of the final over. Dwayne Bravo took a single on the second ball and it was MSD show after that, as he scored 16 runs off the last 4 ball to take his team home once again.

After the loss, Mumbai Indians became the first side to lose their first seven matches and their chances of making it into the playoff have deflated significantly. On the other hand, CSK has opened a tiny window for themselves after the win. Both the teams are languishing at the bottom of the points table and have performed rather poorly in this season of the Indian Premier League.
