According to a report by Deportes & Finanzas, Chennai Super Kings is leading the list of top five Asian sports teams in March on Twitter. The list also includes Virat Kohli-starrer Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians.
The four-time champions have got a great reception in all the away games whether it was played at Wankhede or Chinnaswamy. Chennai Super Kings are sitting on top of the list with 5.12 million total interactions on Twitter in the month of March. They have 9.5 million followers on their official Twitter handle.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s club Al Nassr is second on the list with 5 million interactions in March. Al Nassr is a Saudi Arabian football club based in Riyadh which features in the Saudi Pro League. Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December last year and his fan base has immensely increased the club’s popularity.
Royal Challengers Bangalore is the third team on the Deportes & Finanzas list. The RCB side features the likes of Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. They have reached 3.45 million interactions in the month of March while they have 6.6 million followers on Twitter.
The most successful team in the history of IPL, Mumbai Indians, registered a total interaction of 2.74 million in March. The Rohit Sharma-led franchise has 8.1 million followers on Twitter. The number five team on the list is the Al-Hilal SFC, which had 2.11 million interactions on Twitter.
