The third and final T20I between India and Afghanistan took place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru last night. India aimed to inflict a whitewash on the Afghans whereas the tourists put up an exceptional fight in the contest to steer clear of a humiliation. Afghanistan tried their maximum best to keep the Indians in check. Nevertheless, Rohit Sharma and Co had the last laugh in the battle as they clinched the second Super Over. The Men in Blue were in a spot of bother after they lost four quick wickets for just 22 runs.

Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh took the game away from the opposition, courtesy of their unbeaten 190-run partnership for the fifth wicket, which is the highest-ever partnership by an Indian batting pair in Twenty20 Internationals. India posted 212/4 in 20 overs and Afghanistan managed to tie the game. Afghanistan set up a target of 17 in the first Super Over, which India managed to tie the Super Over, paving the way for another Super Over. India set up a target of 12 runs and managed to defend it with ease.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s tweet goes viral after Virat Kohli’s duck in Bengaluru

During India’s innings, Virat Kohli had a bad day at the office in front of the tightly-packed Chinnaswamy crowd. The fans turned up in numbers to root for Virat Kohli and the team but were left with disappointment as the run-machine departed for a first-ball duck. Meanwhile, India’s veteran leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal posted a tweet, reserving the highest respect for Rohit Sharma for his batting masterclass.

Rohit Sharma scored 121 off 69 balls with the help of 11 fours and 8 hits over the fence. Chahal’s caption read, “Rohitaaa sharammaaa owning Bengaluru 🫶 What a knock” The tweet caught the attention of the cricket fraternity and several fans chipped in with their views and opinions as well.

Perhaps Chahal must have indirectly mocked Virat Kohli since the former was dropped from Royal Challengers Bangalore during Kohli’s captaincy stint. Chahal was eventually released by the franchise and the leggie started his new chapter with Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022 season, finishing as the leading wicket-taker. He deservedly won the Purple Cap for taking 27 wickets in the season.

I couldn’t understand what happened suddenly,” Chahal opened up on parting ways with RCB in an interview with Ravichandran Ashwin before the IPL 2022 auction.
