Former Team India skipper Virat Kohli on January 31 (Tuesday) paid a visit to Swami Dayanand Giri ashram in Rishikesh. Several pictures of him have gone viral on social media as the batsman obliged to the requests of the fans present at the spot.

He was accompanied by his wife and bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and their daughter Vamika at the spiritual break that Kohli took ahead of India’s all-important Test series against the Kangaroos that begins February 9.

India has to at least draw the 4 match home series 2-2  to keep their chances of making it to the World Test Championship (WTC) final in their own hands. Kohli, along with fellow senior batsmen Rohit Sharma and Pujara will have a huge role in making sure last year’s runner-ups have another shot at the title.

Old video of Virat Kohli resurfaces after his recent visit to Rishikesh ashram

Meanwhile, a dated video clip of King Kohli has taken the internet by storm after his visit Swani Dayanand in Rishikesh, Uttrakhand.

In the clip –which comes from his press conference ahead of T20 WC 2016 knockout match against Steve Smith and co– Kohli can be seen giving a hilarious answer to a reporter’s question around his spiritual beliefs.

“Do I look the pooja-paath types? (Do I look like I am into worships and prayers)”, Kohli can be heard saying in the clip that has now resurfaced.

The fans are teasing Virat Kohli for his comments on Pooja-Paath in the aforementioned video clip after the RCB icon paid a visit to Swami Dayanand Giri ashram in Rishikesh.

Twitter is overflowing with photos and videos of Kohli from the place, and a substantial number of fans have pulled the batsman’s leg for dishonoring his words.

Notably, this isn’t the first time Virat Kohli has paid visit to an ashram in recent times. The 2011 WC champion had previously been spotted at Neem Karoli Baba ashram, following which he had struck 2 ODI centuries in his next 3 appearances.

If or not his recent clock in at Rishikesh has a similar effect during the Test series against Australia remains to seen.

One thing, regardless, is clear. No matter how much he tries to run from it, King Kohli is indeed the pooja-paath types.
