Donald Trump Mispronounces Cricket Legends’ Names

The US leader mentioned Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli but miserably failed to pronounce their names correctly. Trump said, “This is the country where your people cheer on the biggest cricketers, from Soochin Tendulkar to Virot Kolee, the greatest in the world,” The clip went viral and became a laugh riot for the viewers.

However, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen seemed unimpressed with the mispronunciation of cricket legends’ names. English batsman took to Twitter to advise Donald Trump to do some research on Cricket before the speech. Pietersen mentioned a good friend of US President, Piers Morgan in his tweet for giving his advice to Trump. The tweet reads, “FFS, @piersmorgan, pls ask your mate to do some research in pronouncing legends names?!”

US President In India

Donald Trump cricket knowledge is not good enough that might be the reason he found the names of Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli hard to pronounce. Earlier that day, after the arrival of President’s plane at Ahmedabad airport, PM Narendra Modi welcomed Donald Trump and the first lady of USA Melania Trump.

Before attending ‘Namstey Trump’ event at Motera Stadium, Trump visited Sabarmati Asharam, where the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi used to live. PM Narendra Modi gave a tour of the Asharam to Trump and Melania. The couple spun the charkha at the residence of Gandhi. After this, the USA President and his family addressed more than one lakh people at Motera Stadium. Donald Trump left impressed with the arrangements at the world’s largest cricket stadium.
