The Asia Cup 2022 kicks off this weekend with the Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan encounter in Dubai. A total of 13 games will be played in the tournament, 10 out of which will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Final as well is scheduled to be played at the same venue on the 11th of September. Hence, the Pitch Report and the T20 Records of the Dubai International Cricket Stadium will be discussed in this article.
The tournament will consist of two stages- the group stage and the super four stage. In the group stage, the three teams in each group will play one match each among themselves and the top two sides of each group will then progress to the Super Four stage. This stage as well will be played in the round-robin format where each team will be competing once against the other teams. The top two sides after this stage will be the finalists of the Asia Cup 2022.

Dubai International Cricket Stadium Pitch Report
The pitch at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium favours the pacers initially and tends to get easier to bat on as the match progresses. The pacers can benefit from the good bounce and movement that the surface provides and pick wickets upfront. The batters will have to be cautious at the start of the innings. The overs of spin will be crucial as the pitch offers a good turn.
It has been seen lately at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium that the teams chasing a total have had more success as compared to the sides defending. The dew as well tends to affect the results of the games here, hence, it would be a better option to bowl first after winning the toss here.
Dubai Weather Forecast
The weather will remain sunny and hot with the day temperatures ranging the highs of 38-40 degrees Celcius. There is no forecast for rain hence the entire tournament will remain unaffected by the weather.
