England changed the timing of upcoming one-off Test match vs India

The series-deciding Test match between England and India will kick off on 1st July in Edgbaston with England looking to draw the series.

Team India is touring England for 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs, but the tour will commence with the rescheduled 5th Test Match which was postponed in the year 2021. The match was delayed due to Covid scare and was then later rescheduled to be played in July. While both the teams prepare for the series deciding Test, England changed the timing of the contest because of the Indian fans.

England changed the timing of the 5th Test

The Indian team toured England last year for 5 Tests and gave a brilliant performance to stay ahead in the series by 2-1. Before the 5th and the last match could be played, the Indian camp decided to halt the series as the Covid cases started rising. It was then decided that the last Test will take place in July and now England changed the timing for the Test which will decide the fate of the series.

Contrary to India’s timing of 09:30 am, Tests in England start at 11:00 am. However, keeping the Indian fans in mind, England changed the timing of the 5th Test and the fixture will begin at 10:30 in the morning. As per the report by Daily Mail, England and Wales Cricket Board has finalized 10:30 as the starting time of the Test match, which means the match will start at 3 pm IST instead of 03:30 pm.

With India ahead in the series by 2-1, England will look to draw the series by winning the match. On the other hand, the Indian team will try and win the series and even a draw will ensure the same. The contest will be played between 1st July and 5th July and will be followed by 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs. India’s tour of England will end with the third ODI which will be played in Manchester. Post the England tour, team India will tour West Indies for 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is.
