The T20I series between West Indies and Australia is turning out to be a lop-sided affair where the hosts have been dominating the Kangaroos ever since the first match. Though there has been spectacular action in the series, everything has gone Windies’ way so far. A great example of the same was the rebound catch that Fabian Allen managed to hold on to after Dwayne Bravo made a mess of it in the third T20I.

The third T20I took place on 13th July in St. Lucia where Australian captain Aaron Finch opted to bat after winning the toss. Prior to this match, the Australian captain opted to field first, but the decision backfired in both the T20Is as his team lost both the matches. The first match was won by West Indies by 18 runs whereas the second match was won by an even bigger margin of 56 runs.

Fabian Allen displays great reflexes

The Australian team would have hoped for a change in fortune after their decision to bat first, however it was not meant to be. The hosts got the better of the Australian team and handed them yet another defeat by 6 wickets. Apart from a clinical show by the Windies, the catch by Fabian Allen made headlines as well. The Windies batting allrounder showed great reflexes to complete a catch dropped by Bravo.

The incident took place in the 12th over of the Australian inning when Aaron Finch was batting. Hayden Walsh bowled a tossed-up delivery and Finch decided to slog against the spin. The ball went up in the air and the fielders at long-on and deep mid-wicket ran for the catch. Dwayne Bravo called for it but was in no balance to take the catch, but Fabian Allen showed great skills.

Bravo called for the catch, but couldn’t get a hold of it. The catch would have been dropped if it was not for Fabian Allen’s acrobatic dive. With the win in the third T20I, the hosts have got an unassailable 3-0 lead in the 5-match series.
