Team India’s speedster Jasprit Bumrah bowled an exceptional spell in the World Cup 2023 clash against Afghanistan and was seen copying the Marcus Rashford’s celebration after taking wickets. After the IND vs AFG game, a screenshot went viral on social media that claimed that Marcus Rashford posted an Instagram story of Jasprit Bumrah’s celebration.

On October 12, a screenshot went viral across the social media platforms as per which Marcus Rashford had posted a picture of Jasprit Bumrah celebrating his wicket. The Indian pacer had made the ‘Temple Point’ celebration in the viral picture.

The Indian cricket fans were astonished to see the Manchester United footballer admiring Bumrah and he even used the ‘GOAT’ emoji. However, it did look suspicious to most of them.

On checking Marcus Rashford’s official Instagram account, it was found that the viral screenshot was fake. The star footballer had not posted any picture of Jasprit Bumrah celebrating in the World Cup 2023 game against Afghanistan on his Instagram story.

Meanwhile, the experienced pacer bowled an incredible spell on a flat batting-friendly against the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led side. He provided the first breakthrough to the Indian Team as he dismissed Ibrahim Zadran with an exceptional out-swinging delivery.

The Afghanistan side was set to post a huge total courtesy of the partnership between skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai. Jasprit Bumrah then brought the Men in Blue back into the game with some deadly bowling.

He dismissed experienced batters Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran before they could do anymore damage. He also took the wicket of dangerous Rashid Khan and eventually finished with the figures of 4-39 in his 10-over spell.

Bumrah’s lethal bowling helped the Indian Team to reduce Afghanistan to a total of 272-8 in their 50 overs. Hardik Pandya too scalped a couple of wickets in the middle overs while Kuldeep Yadav bowled a decent spell as well.

Team India chased down the target set by Afghanistan in just 35 overs as skipper Rohit Sharma smashed a quick-fire ton. Virat Kohli too scored a crucial fifty while opening batter Ishan Kishan scored 47 as Afghanistan bowlers couldn’t do much on the batting-friendly wicket in Delhi.
