Fans relate Ravindra Jadeja’s cryptic tweet with Kohli-BCCI controversy

However, the real motive of Jadeja's tweet is quite different.

India’s cricket setup has gone through a lot of turbulence in recent days. From Kohli getting sacked from ODI captaincy to Sourav Ganguly’s comments on his captaincy relinquishment… Things have stirred up the fans time and again.

Sure, Rohit has made headlines by missing SA Tests and rumours arose regarding Ravindra Jadeja mulling test retirement. Nevertheless, most of the action has been a back and forth between India’s test-skipper and Sourav Ganguly, the BCCI president.

“Fake friends believe in rumours”- Ravindra Jadeja

Coming right to the point here. So, Jaddu posted a cryptic tweet yesterday. Jaddu’s tweet was themed at chalking out the key difference between fake friends and real friends.

His tweet comprised a photo reading, “Fake friends believe in rumours, real friends believe in you.”

Ever since the tweet was dropped, netizens have attached it to Kohli’s spat with BCCI. Rumours had suggested that King Kohli didn’t want to play under Sharma’s ODI leadership on RSA tour. Nonetheless, Kohli deemed all such rumours as false- in his recent comments.

Thus, fans naturally believed that the tweet from Ravindra was dedicated to his test skipper. But this opinion isn’t true. Reality being concerned, Ravindra Jadeja’s tweet is aimed at his own friends.

Let me elaborate. Couple of days ago, an anonymous friend of RJ has come out stating that Jadeja was rumoured to prolong his LOIs career by taking retirement from tests. It was nothing but a rumour though, and Jaddu had quashed them via his aforementioned post. He followed it up by posting a photo in test jersey. Its caption read, “Long way to go???”

Conclusion? Ravindra Jadeja isn’t a part of RSA test tour because he is nursing a torn ligament in his forearm. Once he recovers from his fitness issue, Sir Jadeja will be back on the cricketing field. Jadeja’s test numbers are far too astonishing for premature retirement. No 57-tests veteran with 18 fifty plus score and 9 five-wicket hauls is held back by mere desire to elongate his limited overs career.
