Indian cricket’s Chief Selector ever since the sacking of MSK Prasad, Chetan Sharma has been caught in a sensational sting operation conducted by Zee News. Unaware of a hidden camera that was planted in his house, Chetan talked about some dirty secrets pertaining to Indian Cricket’s present landscape.

From several players cheating dope tests, to the details regarding the infamous Kohli-Rohit rift, Sharma has shared troubling details regarding multiple topics; details that are threatening to derail Indian Cricket and put it to shame all across the globe.

Chetan Sharma exposes HUGE SECRETS in a sting operation

In his first and the most unsettling comment, the Indian Chief Selector has accused star players of cheating dope tests. Chetan claims that players have been using fitness-boosting injections that do not comply with the international standard.

“Players who are 80-85 perfect fit use injections to boost their fitness and be match-fit. Painkillers are caught in Dope Tests. However, players are aware of (banned) substances that aren’t caught in the Dope Tests. They often use injections made of untraceable drugs to achieve fake fitness and keep playing”.

Most players, including MI pacer Jasprit Bumrah, are desperate to play even when they are not fit, and ask him to select them despite not meeting fitness standards, Chetan says.

Chetan also accepted that established players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are given REST from T20Is to phase them out of the setup, and replace them with fresh blood.

Several other topics have also been touched upon in the sting operation conducted on Chetan Sharma, including the infamous Kohli-Rohit rift, and the strained relationship between Kohli and Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) ex-president Sourav Ganguly, to name a couple.

“There isn’t a huge battle between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. But there is EGO. Both of them are like big film stars. There are two major camps in the Indian setup and Kohli and Rohit lead them”.

Chetan Sharma also shared the true details regarding the captaincy drama involving Kohli and Ganguly. He said it was not just Ganguly, but the selection committee as one, that decided to take the ODI captaincy off the run-machine. Chetan also revealed that Ganguly had asked Kohli to reconsider his decision to give up Test Leadership.

Kohli lied about it to hit back at Ganguly, according to Chetan.

The sensitive details that have risen from the unnerving sting operation on Chetan Sharma have been made public at a precarious time, as India is in the middle of an important Test Series against the Kangaroos.
