The cricketing world, by now is all aware of the never-ending online banter between Wasim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan. Both the former cricketers are generally seen active on social media. And more often than not, seen contradicting each other through their tweets. After yesterday’s win of Team India over Australia in the warm-up game, Vaughan posted a tweet to which Wasim Jaffer has replied hilariously.

What happened is that Team India defeated England and Australia in a span of 3 days, which is surely impressive. Though both the matches were warm-up games, Team India have gained a winning momentum and might benefit from it in the tournament. Michael Vaughan, after watching India defeat his own country, England, and another T20 giant, Australia, wrote on Twitter stating India as the Hot favourites to Win the T20 World Cup.

“The way India are playing the warm up games suggests they may be now Hot favourites to Win the #T20WorldCup !!!”, wrote Vaughan.

In reply to Vaughan, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer posted a picture on Twitter. Though Jaffer posted the picture without a caption, the Indian public easily figured out what the picture meant. It was the famous meme template ‘Goli Beta Masti Nahi’ featuring Jethalal and Goli, characters from an Indian sitcom ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah’. And that’s what made it funny, as Jaffer through that reply trolled Vaughan for taking a u-turn from his previously given statements.

Vaughan always had stated that England are the Favourites to Win the T20 World Cup and not considered India as one of the top candidates to win the title. “England for me are the favourites. I don’t know how India get the “favourites” tag in T20 cricket. I just think they’ve been a long way off in the last few tournaments,’ Vaughan told BBC Test Match Special recently.

Now, after India has won the warm-up matches convincingly, Vaughan has turned in India’s favor. This in-turn has made Jaffer troll the former England Captain.

India defeats England and Australia convincingly in the warm-up games

Team India has announced their candidature in order to lift the World T20 title with a flying start into the tournament. Kohli’s men have managed to win both their warm-up games with ease. In both matches the Indian batsmen put up an impressive show on the field. Team India first defeated England by 7 wickets on Monday and then Australia by 8 wickets on Wednesday. Though the warm-up games are irrelevant when it comes to the main tournament, winning them still must give a mental advantage to any side.
