India’s ace leg-spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, will turn 30 this year. With every Indian cricketer who has reached the age of 30 having already tied the knot, Kuldeep is now likely to face media scrutiny regarding his own marriage. In the meantime, Kuldeep Yadav has hinted at his upcoming wedding during a recent conversation with NDTV.

Kuldeep Yadav on His Marriage Plans

Kuldeep Yadav told NDTV that fans will receive good news about his marriage soon. He also specified that his wife will not be a Bollywood actress, as he prefers someone who can take care of him and his family. “You’ll get the good news soon, but it won’t be an actress. It is important that she can take care of me and my family,” Kuldeep Yadav said in an interview with NDTV.

Kuldeep Yadav has kept his love life personal, and there’s not much information about his girlfriend or engagement plans. While many cricketers, after gaining fame, settle in metro cities like Mumbai, Kuldeep Yadav still prefers his hometown Kanpur as his base for a simpler, more grounded life.

Kuldeep Yadav, in his 16-year professional cricket career, has accumulated a net worth of 32 crore rupees. He earns a salary of 2 crore every IPL season with Delhi Capitals since 2021. He also receives a 3 crore annual salary from the BCCI for being a grade B player in Central Contracts. Besides, the leg-spinner endorses brands.

Kuldeep Yadav faced a setback in his career during the 2020-22 period. He had a disastrous IPL season with KKR in 2020, which led to him being released. He was also sidelined from the Indian team. More shockingly, no one except Delhi Capitals bid on him at the IPL 2021 Auction. However, Kuldeep made a strong comeback in 2022 and has been able to cement his place in the team.

He pipped Yuzvendra Chahal to become India’s go-to spin bowler and contributed to India’s 2024 T20 World Cup win. The UP-born spinner is playing all three formats for India. In the upcoming IPL season, he is likely to be retained by the Delhi Capitals with a higher salary cap than the 2 crore he is currently receiving.
