Yash Dayal shared a post on his Instagram story whose reference was related to Love Jihad, a term that is commonly used by fringe elements in India to create communal tensions between the two religions.
The post shared by the Gujarat Titans’ pacer had a cartoon depicting a Muslim man hiding a knife at his back and proposing to a blindfolded woman while a dead body of a woman with Sakshi written on her back is lying below. The picture has been posted by a number of other social media users as well following the Sakshi murder case in New Delhi.

“Guys apologies for the story it was just posted by mistake plz don’t spread hate. Thank You. I have respect for each and every community and society,” Yash Dayal wrote on his next Instagram story.
It’s worth noting that Yash has several Muslim teammates at Gujarat Titans. It includes senior Indian pacer Mohammad Shami and Afghanistan spinners Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad. He also plays along with Aqib Khan and Sameer Rizvi in the domestic circuit for the Uttar Pradesh team.
Despite playing with multiple Muslim cricketers Yash Dayal posted a controversial post targeting their community which didn’t go well with Cricket fans. Some of the Twitter users even suggested that the Gujarat Titans pacer should face action from the BCCI.
Earlier, Yash Dayal was smashed for 5 consecutive sixes by Rinku Singh in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders. He was dropped out of the playing XI right after that game while the GT team management stated that he wasn’t doing well physically and mentally. He did get a couple of more opportunities in the last few games as he took just 2 wickets in 5 games in the IPL 2023 season.
