Harbhajan Singh received 4 rupees via Paytm from Yuzvendra Chahal, the reason is hilarious

By this point, it’s common knowledge how fun a person Yuzvendra Chahal is both on and off the field. When the seasoned leggie is not trying to outfox batters with his wily bowling, Yuzi is seen on social platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, amusing his fans with his hilarious antics.

In fact, just the day before, we got to know about that time when Andrew Symonds and James Franklin tied up Chahal with a rope as a prank and forgot to untie him. This left Yuzi in an immobile state for the entire night before the cleaning staff arrived next day and helped him. Clearly, Chahal’s former teammates in the Mumbai Indians camp had a lot of fun at his expense. 

But if anyone was under the impression that he has left behind his naughty MI buddies and their pranks behind, they couldn’t be more wrong. And it seems like the pranks are taking place on a more open, public space now. 

A few hours ago, Harbhajan Singh, Chahal’s former captain at MI, posted a screenshot of his PayTM bank account SMS transaction on Twitter. The SMS read that Chahal had transferred him a whopping 4 rupees over on his account. Harbhajan captioned the image asking Yuzi why he had sent him the money.

While Chahal is yet to reply to Bhajju paaji, several Twitter users seem to have guessed the reason. PayTM is currently doing a cashback scheme, where in customers who send 4 rupees on any UPI app may receive upto 100 rupees in cashback. So it seems that Chahal’s benevolent donation to Bhajji had a more selfish, ulterior motive after all.

However, the highlight of the thread came when some people started posting pictures of PayTM’s promotional hoarding from the Narendra Modi Stadium. Chahal and the rest of the Indian team are currently warming up at that venue ahead of the first ODI against West Indies.

So from the looks of it, Chahal literally learnt about the offer from the stadium’s ad and made a transaction to Harbhajan in hopes of availing his cashback. Way to earn some quick money, Babu Bhaiya- sorry, we mean Chahal!
