Harbhajan Singh suggests major change in India Playing XI vs New Zealand, backs youngster to play

After a huge defeat against Pakistan in their T20 World Cup opening match, team India is now gearing up for their next assignment against New Zealand. The Indian squad will be facing the Kiwis on 31st October, Sunday. Pakistan has won two matches on the trot which makes the New Zealand game very crucial for India. For the uninitiated, both the team India openers didn’t trouble the scorers much in the first game as they both fell within the play of 3 overs. Though KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma shined in the practice matches, they couldn’t replicate the same in the monumental game against Pakistan. While Rohit fell for a duck, KL Rahul could only manage to score 3 runs. After a disappointing performance, Harbhajan Singh suggests a major change in the team as he backs Ishan Kishan to replace KL Rahul.

Harbhajan Singh feels Ishan Kishan can provide Team India the start they want. The ex-spinner opines that Ishan Kishan should be given a chance to open for India along with Rohit Sharma in the game against New Zealand.

“According to me, it is necessary that Ishan Kishan be in the playing XI. If he opens with Rohit Sharma, India can have the start which they are currently looking for,” said Harbhajan on his YouTube channel.

Pakistan has defeated both India and New Zealand and both teams are eyeing a win now in their next match. It will be interesting to see the combination of the Indian team in the big game against the Kiwis.
