The year 2020 has been a rollercoaster ride for everyone, however it has been a blessed one for Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya. He got engaged with Natasa Stankovic, married her and the couple was blessed with a baby boy, who they named Agastya. The family has been spending some quality time during the lockdown.
The situation in the country is still not favourable for any type of sporting event and all the Indian players are gearing up to leave for UAE to play the Indian Premier League (IPL). The tournament is all set to start from September 19. Hardik Pandya also left his family to join his franchise Mumbai Indians (MI), which is ready to leave for the UAE later this week.
It must have been a tough call for Pandya to leave his new born baby with his wife Natasa. However, he had to leave as the players need to reach UAE a month prior to the league to train and enter in the bio-secure bubble according to the safety measures.
After Pandya left, Natasa took to her Instagram account and posted a sweet picture of hers with her husband saying she was already missing him. As it turned out, Instagram removed the picture from her account just after a few hours terming that it went against their community guidelines.
Natasa was obviously shocked as the post had nothing reprehensible. She posted a story on her account expressing her disappointment.
Families can join players but with conditions
The families of players are allowed to join them during the tournament in the UAE, but even they will have to go through strict protocols. They will be tested for COVID and their test has to be negative. Moreover, they will have to stay in the bio-secure bubble and in no way can they go out of it.
No family has confirmed to travel along with any player so far, however it will get clear by the next month. As far as Pandya family is concerned, they won’t risk travelling with a new-born baby. In that case, Pandya will have to wait for a long time to finally meet his family again.
