The 5-match Test series between India and England stands 1-0 after the thrilling Lord’s Test win by Team India. The visitors after putting up a brilliant performance in the 1st test, which got washed away due to rain on the last day, continued to keep up their spirits in the 2nd test and came off with flying colors. The Historic Lord’s triumph of Team India has put the hosts on the backfoot. Now, the 3rd Test becomes a must-win game for England as another win to India would mean that the hosts can’t win the series. Though the Test Records of the Leeds Cricket Ground are in the favor of the England side, the Indian team has had good outings in Leeds on the last two occasions.

Leeds Cricket Ground Pitch Report & Weather

The Indian Pace Battery might again dominate the upcoming test as the pitch in Leeds will be assisting the Fast Bowlers throughout the match. The England side would miss their first-choice pace attack with Mark Wood getting ruled out of the 3rd test due to a “jarred right shoulder” and Stuart Broad out of the entire series due to a “calf injury”.

The pitch has a fair bit of help for both the bat and the ball, hence we can expect a good battle between the both. The pitch can provide something to the spinners but only on the last two days of the match.

The weather in Headingley would remain cloudy for most of the time in the match. Despite the clouds, the are no chances of rain on all the 5 days of the match.
