In the 3rd Ashes Test at Leeds English team is showing their support for the LGBTQ community in a very different fashion. The stumps used in the Headingley test are different from the stumps used in the first 2 games. Here’s why ECB introduces Rainbow colored stumps.
The sticks used in the Headingley test have blown many viewers’ minds as they are multicolored from the bottom. The unique stumps are designed to promote the worldwide campaign of the LGBTQ community, cricket is participating in this for the 7th consecutive year.

The former English captain has also appreciated the initiative and had his say on this. He said “As players, we have a platform to use and as a group, we believe that cricket should be a game that everyone can play, watch and enjoy. We are proud to support LGTBQ= inclusion in cricket, and we know that supporting a campaign like this can help LGBTQ+ individuals feel supported in the game.

The England players including captain Stokes, Root, and James Anderson have posed for a photo in which they have worn the rainbow band. The photo is getting a lot of likes and comments on the social media page of the England cricket team.

The month of July is considered to be pride month in which most sports teams support the LGBTQ in their own way. The campaign is also famous in the world of football where famous clubs promote the campaign by posting pictures with rainbow outlines.
The inclusion of Wood Woakes turned out positive for England on Day 1
After losing 2 back to back games England’s team finally decided to introduce their fastest bowler Mark Wood who ran riot in the Aussie batting order. Mark Wood bowled the fastest spell in England since 2005, in his first over every ball clicked over 91 MPH.
