A video has gone viral on social media in which Pakistan’s Mohammad Ali can be seen refusing to shake hands with England skipper Ben Stokes after England’s victory.

Mohammad Ali refuses to shake hands with Ben Stokes as he waits for DRS decision

Team England continued their ‘Bazball’ approach in the Multan test and kept the Pakistan team under constant pressure. England scored 275 runs in their second innings off just 65 overs courtesy of a quick-fire hundred by Harry Brook. Pakistan had to chase down the total of 353 runs in order to defeat England but they fell short by 25 runs.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Ali was the last batter to depart as he nicked Ollie Robinson’s delivery to wicketkeeper Ollie Pope. Even though Ali clearly edged the delivery, he opted for DRS as they still had a review in the bank and delayed England’s celebrations. While the DRS was taken by Pakistan batter and the third umpire was going through the step-by-step process, Stokes prematurely walked up to Ali to shake hands with him.

Mohammad Ali clearly refused to shake hands with the English skipper as Stokes was left completely stunned. Ali uttered a few words to Stokes as he reminded him of the DRS procedure as the decision was yet to be shown on the big screen. However, just after a few seconds the decision popped on the big screen and Mohammad Ali congratulated Stokes and other England players on their victory.

Pakistan had resumed day 4 with 198 runs on the board with six wickets still in their hands. Pakistan batters Saud Shakeel and Imam-Ul-Haq were looking really good as they kept Pakistan in the hunt. However, just as Imam and Saud lost their wickets, the Pakistan team crumbled for a total of 328 runs.
