The second ODI between South Africa and England was a nail-biting thriller as players from both the sides gave their 100% in order to seal the game for their respective sides. The game in Bloemfontein also witnessed some tensed moments between the players of the two sides.

During the 19th over of South Africa’s innings, England’s skipper Jos Buttler got involved in a verbal spat with South African batter Rassie van der Dussen as he attempted a catch to dismiss Rassie.

England leggie Adil Rashid bowled a googly and deceived Rassie van der Dussen. The ball took the inside edge of Rassie’s bat and then went to hit his pad, before tossing up in the air. Jos Buttler sensed a wicket opportunity as he attempted to reach towards the ball but was blocked by the South African batter and hence couldn’t complete the catch.

“I’m trying to get to the ball,” Buttler said. “What’s your problem Rassie? It’s not all about you all the time.” Van der Dussen then replied: “No, it’s about you.”

I’m allowed to try and catch the ball,” added Buttler. “What do you want me to do?”

At this point the umpires intervened, with one of them shouting: “Okay, calm down!”

Talking about the match, England batters posted a mammoth total of 342-7 as Jos Buttler led from the front and scored an unbeaten 94 off just 82 deliveries. He got enough support from young Harry Brook who scored 80 off 75 deliveries.
