Deepak missed the entire IPL 2022 due to an injury
Chennai Super Kings spent big bucks on the Rajasthan-born fast bowler. He was their most expensive signing in the 2022 auction. CSK bought Deepak Chahar for a whopping 14 crore considering his past performance for the franchise.
After Dhoni’s CSK spend big money on Chahar they got a major setback in the news of Chahar’s unavailability for the entire season. The team struggled a lot in his absence and they finished second last on the points table.
Chahar has been CSK’s top wicket-taker for the last 3 years and his impact with the new ball is irreplaceable in the team. His arrival in the CSK squad for the 2023 season will provide a major boost to their bowling which tumbled under pressure last year.

“I have lived by one rule all my life. If I am fully bowling the way I want, if I am batting the way I want, there is no stopping me. That was the basic rule with which I started my career.
“I don’t care who is playing, who is not playing, my motive is to get fully fit and perform with the ball and bat 100 percent. If I do that, I will get my chances,” Chahar added.
