Daniel Jarvis aka Jarvo breached security and invaded the pitch during the India vs Australia World Cup 2023 clash at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8. The ICC has now banned Jarvo from attending the remaining matches of the World Cup 2023 after his pitch invasion in Chepauk.

As per a PTI report, Jarvo breached the security just moments after Team India’s players entered the field. Jarvo caught everyone by surprise as he coolly walked into the ground wearing the Indian jersey just moments before the first ball of the match was bowled.

He interacted with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul after which he was escorted out of the ground by Indian team’s security officer. Jarvo was picked by the security officers but was then left as no one considered it as a serious matter.

Jarvo has been banned from attending any further games in World Cup 2023: ICC

“The individual concerned has been banned from attending any further games at the event and the matter is in the hands of the Indian authorities,” ICC spokesperson told PTI.

“The safety and security of everyone involved in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is our priority. We will work with the venue to understand what happened and consider if any additional security measures are required to prevent it happening again,” the ICC spokesperson further added.

It’s worth noting that Daniel Jarvis aka Jarvo is a repeated offender and this was the fourth time he managed to breach security in a match involving the Men in Blue. He had made the same offense during Team India’s tour of England in 2021 at the Kia Oval in London.

He had an interaction with England keeper-batter Jonny Bairstow in that game. he was charged with and found guilty of aggravated trespass and was then banned from entering the English grounds.

Daniel Jarvis is a professional YouTuber and has more than 180,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel. He has also posted some of his pitch-intrusion antics on his YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, the Indian Team defeated Australia in their opening World Cup 2023 game in a rather one-sided clash. The Aussie side could only post a total of 199 before getting bowled out courtesy of some exceptional bowling by Team India’s spin trio.
