In a first, ICC is going to use Bat-Tracking Technology in T20 World Cup 2021 in select matches.
The Super 12 matches are going to start from October 23 with the clash between Australia and South Africa which will be followed by England vs West Indies match on the same day. In a tournament as grand as the World Cup, the decision of the umpires become even more important. No team wants to bear the brunt of a wrong decision by the umpire. To make the decision-making more compact, ICC is all set to use Bat-Tracking Technology in T20 World Cup.
ICC to use Bat-Tracking Technology
Ball tracking and UltraEdge technology has become an integral part of the modern-day cricket and they have proved to be very useful in making correct decisions on the field ever since their inception. Now ICC is going to introduce Bat-Tracking Technology in the ongoing T20 World Cup in select matches. To provide an unmatched experience to the viewers, ICC is going to bring a lot of exciting features in the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup.
One of the most interesting features is going to be the Bat-Tracking Technology along with “spin around” replay sequences from 4D Replay. The viewers will be able to enjoy these features in select matches of the Super 12 phase. Team India will kickstart their World Cup campaign with the match against their arch rivals Pakistan on 24th October.

Team Indian defeated England in their first warm-up game on 18th October and will now face Australia on 20th October in their second warm-up game of the tournament.
