The incident happened during the Eliminator clash between Joburg Super Kings and Paarl Royals. Imran Tahir’s exceptional catch to get rid of Paarl Royals’ Mitchell Van Buuren for a duck in the third over was indeed one of the turning points. Paarl Royals were in a spot of bother after losing the top-order batters for cheap scores. However, their skipper David Miller turned up and played a decent knock, scoring 47 off 40 (4 fours, 2 sixes).

In the end, Paaryl Royals were bowled out for 138. Sam Cook was the pick of the bowlers for Joburg Super Kings, wherein he accounted for four dismissals (4/24) whereas Nadre Burger also chipped in with disciplinary bowling variations as he registered 3/26. Meanwhile, Joburg Super Kings will lock horns with Durban Super Giants in Qualifier 2 on February 8, Thursday at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. The winner of this clash will take on Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the showdown on February 10, Saturday at Newlands, Cape Town.
