In the ongoing first test between India and Australia R Ashwin and Marnus Labuschagne indulged in a feisty battle. IND vs AUS: R Ashwin sledges Marnus Labuschagne after bowling a huge spin delivery to the latter.

The Indian spin maestro tested the number 1 test batter in the world with his variations. Marnus Labuschagne who is playing his first test in India tackled Ashwin pretty well. He used his feet superbly against Ashwin and played a few crisp strokes against him.

Although Labuschagne’s disciplined innings didn’t last much and he got stumped on Jadeja’s ripper delivery after scoring 49 off 123. In the eventful innings of Marnus, a heated incident took place when Ashwin was bowling to him.

It is a well-known fact that Marnus is a very expressive character on the field no matter if he is batting or fielding. During the last ball of Ashwin’s first over of the spell, he manages to hit labuschagne’s pad with a sharp turn. The ball was completely going down the leg but Labushcagne didn’t have any clue about that delivery.

The Australian did appreciate the turn on that delivery with a gesture looking at Ashwin. On the other hand, the Indian spinner took it otherwise and started giving a dead stare at Labuschagne with a gesture. Ashwin signaled that the ball will turn and rip your bails.

India is in the driving seat after resisting Australian innings on 177

The wicket at the VIdharba Stadium didn’t misbehave that much but Australia still couldn’t tackle the Indian spin web. Coming back from injury Ravindra Jadeja took his 12th fifer and 4th against Australia in return. Jadeja’s fifer included dangerous Labuschagne and the big fish Steven Smith.

India all out Australia on 177 with the help of their quality spinners. After coming onto the bat openers Rohit and Rahul played superbly against the Aussie bowlers. Captain Rohit Sharma countered the pacers and made a well-deserved half-century before the end of the day’s play.

KL Rahul got out cheaply on debutant Murphy’s bowling after making hard-fought 20 runs. India is in a pole position to make a big score in the first innings and get the game away from the Aussies.
