The ongoing India vs England Test at Rajkot witnessed the prowess of Indian batters. Skipper Rohit Sharma reached his 11th Test century, and on the same day, the local boy Ravindra Jadeja followed suit with his own century. After reaching his century, Jadeja celebrated with his trademark sword celebration. Just a ball before, the left-hander caused a mix-up with Sarfaraz Khan, which led to the latter’s dismissal. However, Jadeja didn’t shy away from celebrating in style.
Jadeja completed his century against Anderson’s bowling, who appeared to be a bit frustrated with Jadeja’s celebration. Later, Anderson was seen imitating the sword celebration in front of the inventor himself. Being a legendary player with 22 years of experience and 696 wickets to his name, Anderson doesn’t hesitate to engage in on-field banter.
However, Ravindra Jadeja didn’t react to Anderson’s act, but it will be interesting to see if they cross paths in the game again. The Indian all-rounder was dismissed caught and bowled by Joe Root, ending his innings at 112 runs off 225 balls. With Jadeja’s fourth Test century, India managed to post a total of 444 runs.

The first day was dominated by Indian batters, and on the second day, the momentum shifted towards England. England had a great start to their innings, thanks to Ben Duckett, who played with a aggressive approach, creating 80-plus run partnerships with both Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope. Duckett will continue his innings on the third day at 133 runs, facing just 115 balls. Joe Root will be on the other end, playing on 9 runs.

England is batting on 207 runs, having lost two wickets. They are currently 238 runs behind India’s score. If Ben Duckett continues to bat with the same aggressive approach on the third day, India might find themselves in trouble.
