Team India were in a spot of bother as the partnership between Aiden Markram and David Miller helped South Africa cruise towards India’s total. In the 12th over of South Africa’s chase Ravichandran Ashwin created an opportunity for the Indian team to pull the opponents back.

Aiden Markram pulled Ashwin’s delivery towards the deep wicket region where Virat Kohli was fielding. The ball travelled straight towards Virat and all he had to do was grab hold of the ball as the ball was at a comfortable height as well.

Everyone on the field keenly looked towards Virat expecting him to take the easy catch which he couldn’t even after making the second attempt as the ball fumbled through his hands. Ashwin was left in utter disbelief while Rohit Sharma had both hands on his head as they had probably not seen Virat drop such a sitter ever.

The video of Ashwin’s reaction has gone viral now on social media. The premier off-spinner knew how costly this drop would be for the Indian Team considering the caliber of Aiden Markram who’s the top-ranked African batter.
