Team Details

Shikhar Dhawan will lead Team India in the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma. Established names in Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah will also not a part of the series.

Bumrah is nursing a back injury while Kohli, KL and Rohit have been rested ahead of India’s test tour of Bangladesh.

For New Zealand, Trent Boult will be major missing as incumbent Adam Milne has been picked over him after Boult chose NOT to renew his international contract in order to spend more time with his family and be a part of global T20 leagues. Prolific but ageing opener Martin Guptill has also been axed.
