Team India is going to play a 3 matches Test series against South Africa from October 2, 2019. However, before Test series, they both have to play 3 matches T20 series, starting from 15th September in Dharamshala. Currently, Indian team confidence is high because of their recent clean sweep in all formats in West Indies against West Indies.
On Thursday, Team India has announced its 15-man-squad for the upcoming series against South Africa. In the squad, there is one major change as KL Rahul name is missing from the squad. And Punjab Player Shubman Gill has got his maiden call up in the Indian Team.

Meanwhile, after the selection experts are considering this change as the best option for the upcoming series. Shubhman Gill already has played his maiden ODI earlier in this year against New Zealand. However, he was not recalled since the New Zealand Series. And now he gets his maiden call for the Test matches.

Gill’s first-class career is very impressive, recently, on India A’s tour of West Indies, he was the highest run-scorer in the one-day games. After his selection in Senior Test-Team, Shubaman Gill has shared some words. He credited former Indian legendary cricketer Yuvraj Singh for his success. And also he has credited his father and Punjab player Gurkeerat Mann for their roles in his success.
“He keeps telling me what needs to be done. A few years back, he told me I shouldn’t sign any company, I should just go and play. I didn’t sign anyone. He keeps guiding me, keeps tells me what to do what not to do,” Shubman Gill said.
