IPL 2020: Chennai Super Kings denies Ravindra Jadeja’s trade to Mumbai Indians

The IPL trade window for 2020 had expired last week after all teams gave their best shots in signing the best players suitable to their squad and releasing the ones which had a heavy price tag, all these moves had only one intention for each team that was to built their core team.  Teams like Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders were seen releasing half of their squad ahead of IPL auctions.

However, teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings released only five players from their squad. Chennai Super Kings the three-times IPL champions had to let go Sam Billings,  Mohit Sharma, David Wiley, Dhruv Shorey and Chaitanya Bishnoi. Super Kings have Rs 14.60 left in their purse for the IPL auctions where only five slots are vacant in their team among which two can be occupied by overseas players.

After the retention window was closed down, one Twitter user on Sunday asked the Chennai based franchise about any possibility of trading all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to their arch-rivals Mumbai Indians. Here’s what the fan tweeted:-

“How about @imjadeja to @mipaltan ? All bases would be convered. Isn’t? #JustSaying #koluthipoduvom What you think @ChennaiIPL ?” the fan tweeted”

Chennai Super Kings is very interactive on Twitter with it’s 5.2 million followers and tries to reply to every of their fan came up with a reply that chopped the fan’s expectations.

Here is what CSK wrote back to the fan:-

‘Mission Impossible’ was the answer which meant CSK wants Jadeja’s all-round brilliance to continue on the Chepauk field. Jadeja along with senior CSK players MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina was retained by the franchise as soon as they made their comeback to the league after serving two years suspension in 2018.

The IPL auctions will take place on December 19 at Kolkata.
