IPL 2020: CSK’s recent online activity clears the air about Suresh Raina’s comeback

CSK’s time in UAE started with a lot of problems as around 13 of their staff members caught COVID. Well, to make the situation worse, Suresh Raina shockingly decided to return to India owing to personal concerns. Raina’s impromptu exodus ruptured a whole lot of controversies as many theories came to the fore. Nonetheless, Raina illuminated his stance and also referred to his return to CSK’s camp for the latter half of the IPL. However, CSK’s recent online activity clears the air about Suresh Raina’s comeback.

The CSK official website seems to have removed the name of Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh from the team section. Besides Raina, Harbhajan’s name is also absent from the website, but Harbhajan was transparent about missing this year’s IPL.

While returning home, Raina asserted that he fears something untoward happening to his family. More so, he was concerned about his kids and wife, and hence he returned to India.

CSK certainly seems to miss Suresh Raina in IPL 2020. Chennai is particularly struggling in the middle-order with Raina’s absence. Had Raina been present at the CSK camp, the scenario would have been some better for the yellow army.

Here is CSK’s Updated Team On Their Official Website

CSK CEO’s Statement

Recently, CSK CEO – Kasi Viswanathan – affirmed that in all situations, the team respects Raina’s choice. He maintained that while supporting Raina’s problems, CSK has moved on. Well, the fans out there are certainly missing Chinna Thala – Raina. Nevertheless, CSK CEO is positive that CSK will bounce back to rule the IPL once again.

“We cannot look at (Suresh) Raina because he made himself unavailable, and we respect his decision and his space. We are not thinking about it. I can assure the fans that we will bounce back strongly. It’s a game and you have your good and bad days. But the boys know what they need to do and the smiles will be back,” said Kasi Viswanathan.

CSK is currently savouring a six-day long break with their next game against SRH on 2nd October. Chennai would try to pick up their pieces together to find what they are lacking. In the meantime, Rayudu will also get fit, which will add strength to CSK’s batting line up. Besides, after a long break, CSK will try to get back to their winning ways.
