IPL 2021 Time Table list and Starting date to release in March

BCCI is going to announce IPL 2021 time table list, date and schedule in March. The starting date of the event will be 11 April.

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League is now almost 1 month away. The franchises will start preparation for the upcoming season next month. Indian national team will play the T20I and ODI series against England till 28 March and soon after, the players will join their respective franchise. BCCI will release IPL 2021 time table list in March. Some reports say the board will announce the starting date and whole league schedule at the end of the month.

BCCI to release Time table list of IPL 2021 at end of March

The media report suggests that the tournament will go underway between 11 April and 6 June. The governing body of the league has shortlisted 6 venues in India where the cash-rich league will be played. Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai are these six venues.

It is confirmed that all the mentioned venues except Mumbai will allow the crowd. However, the availability of fans in Wankhede Stadium is still questionable as the city seeing a spike in the numbers of Covid-19 cases. Only 50% of the tickets of the rest 5 stadiums will go on sale.

Ahead of the announcement of time table of IPL 2021, the report is that Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad will host the final of the tournament. The largest cricket stadium in the world can serve Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals as their home ground. The timing of the matches will be 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM for afternoon and evening matches respectively. The finalists of last season, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals will clash in the opening match on April 11.

Ahead of the Start of IPL

Initially, there were talks of dividing 8 teams into two groups of 4 teams each. However, the governing body scrapped the idea. Same It will a double round-robin and playoffs format like the previous season. A total of 56 matches to be played during the league stage while the rest four will be playoffs and the final match.

All 8 teams are ready with full-fledged squads. The franchises spent a total of 145.3 crore rupees in the auction to buy key players to strengthen their bench. Before the time table of IPL 2021 comes, players have time to prepare for the event.

While, stars like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah will be playing a 5-match T20I and 3-match ODI series against England. The T20 series in Ahmedabad will serve good preparation for players.
