“We are very happy to welcome Tendo back to the KKR family in his role as fielding coach. Tendo played an important role as a player from 2011-14 and in the two championships, KKR won in 2012 and 2014, and has been a genuine supporter of KKR all these years,” Venky Mysore, the CEO of Knight Riders, said in a press release.

The former Netherlands captain was part of Knight Riders’ title-winning sides in 2012 and 2014 under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. Ten Doeschate was always admired for his athleticism and fielding skills and his former franchise will look to use his experience in this edition of the Indian Premier League.
The two-time champions have also replaced Brendon McCullum with Chandrakant Pandit for the post of Head Coach after having a terrible season last year. Venky Mysore believes that the appointments of Ryan Ten Doeschate and James Foster will strengthen the support staff under the leadership of Head Coach Chandu Pandit.
The former Dutch player played for the franchise from 2011-15, scoring 326 runs at an average of 23.29 in 29 matches. He was utilized as a substitute fielder by the KKR franchise where he produced some athletic efforts to give KKR an edge over their opponents.
