Over the years, several uncapped players have taken the IPL route to impress the national selectors before getting an entry into the Indian cricket team. 1. Mayank Yadav

It is not very often we see bowlers from India with blistering pace and Mayank Yadav is the latest one to make a name for himself with his pace, with some of his deliveries recording 155.8 km/h and 156.7 km/h. Ian Bishop nick named the 21-year-old as the ‘child of the wind’, which goes to show that he has a truckload of potential and it is up to the Lucknow Super Giants to hone him into a champion. He made his debut for LSG against Punjab Kings wherein he registered 3/27 and was named the Player of the Match.

2. Riyan Parag

It is quite obvious that players with will go through transformation in their journey but little did the cricket fraternity know that Riyan Parag would make waves with the bat in IPL 2024. The youngster has not only made enhancements to his gameplay but has also displayed a great deal of maturity this season. He is currently the second leading run-scorer this season with 261 runs in five games at an average of 87 and a strike rate of 158.18, including three fifties.

3. Shashank Singh

Shashank Singh who was on Punjab Kings’ target list before the auction was roped in by the Mohali-based franchise for his base price of INR 20 lakh. The 32-year-old let his performance do the talking in the run-chase against Gujarat Titans in the run-chase when he changed the entire complexion of the game by scoring a match-defining 61 off 29 balls. His unbeaten knock included six fours and four sixes. He was named the Man of the Match for his compelling knock.
