The upcoming IPL Auction is going to be a mini Auction, which means the franchises can retain as many as players they want. Although, the franchises that had a challenging season in 2023 are expected to make some major changes. The last date to submit the list of retained and released players is November 26. This will also mark the last day of the IPL 2024 trade window. Here we are going to present the list of players who have been traded ahead of IPL Auction 2024.
IPL Trade Window 2024
The trade window was opened on October 26 and franchises had a one-month period to negotiate with other teams’ management to trade players. The players can be traded in two ways. The first common way is to exchange players. With an agreement, both franchises can swap players. In this case, Franchise A will get the player they want to include from Franchise B, and in return, they have to give Franchise B a player that was requested.
The second way is to buy a player from another franchise from an all-cash deal. Teams often do this to get players at a low price. If a team plans to let go of a player for the IPL Auction, another team can directly buy that player for cash. So, if Franchise A is releasing a player, and Franchise B wants to add them to their team, Franchise B would pay Franchise A the amount that the player was initially sold for in the last auction.

Mumbai Indians have secured Romario Shepherd from the Lucknow Super Giants in an all-cash deal.
