Irfan Pathan became a sensation in Indian cricket after his exploits with the ball against Australia in his debut series in 2003. The all-rounder has a unique record of taking a hat-trick in the first over of a Test to his name. Pathan has been pretty active even after his retirement as he can be seen commentating and analysing the matches during the Indian Premier League. Irfan Pathan hit back at trolls who have been criticizing him for his wife’s blurred pic.

Pathan had announced his retirement in January 2020 where he expressed his happiness to have shared the dressing room with legends like Ganguly, Dravid, and Laxman. He also thanked his family and fans for supporting him throughout. Pathan was in his element when he played against Pakistan in Karachi in 2006. The Pak batsmen were puzzled by the great swing the bowler was able to get. As a result, he ended up taking a hat-trick in the very first over of the Test match.

The flak that Irfan Pathan has been receiving started when his wife posted a family picture, but blurred her face. The picture soon gained the attention of the Twitter users and they started criticising the ex-Indian cricketer and his family for blurring the face of his wife.

After receiving a lot of flak, Irfan Pathan finally reposted the picture with the caption, “This picture is posted by my queen from my son’s account. We are getting lot of hate. Let me post this here as well. She blurred this pic by her choice. And Yes, I’m her mate not her master. #herlifeherchoice”

Irfan Pathan clearly stated that it was his wife who had blurred the picture herself and neither he nor his family had anything to do with it. On the work front, Irfan Pathan will be making his big-screen debut with the movie Cobra starring Tamil actor Vikram. Pathan was also seen playing for India Legends in the Road Safety World Series. Pathan also served as the commentator and analyst during the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League.
