Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has given a fitting reply to Abdul Razzaq after the former Pakistan cricketer made a couple of disrespectful statements on Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. Both Virat and Bumrah are currently the best batsman and bowler respectively in all the three formats.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli is at the top rank in T20 and Tests as well. Jasprit Bumrah is at the top rank in ODIs and at fifth in Tests. Meanwhile, both have become a major part of Team India. However, Pakistan former cricketer Abdul Razzaq has different views from the world and recently he had made some bizarre statements on Indian duo.
Abdul Razzaq called Bumrah as a ‘Baby Bowler’ and he said Virat Kohli is consistent batsman but cannot be compared or put in the category of Sachin Tendulkar’s Level. He also backed himself that there is a dearth of the world-class players in modern-day cricket. And also he said there is no strength in Today’s team across the world.
“I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him,” said Razzaq in an interview to Cricket Pakistan
“If Virat Kohli scores, he scores. Yeah, he is a good player for them and is performing consistently, but you cannot place him in the same category as Sachin Tendulkar. He belongs to a different category,” he said about Kohli.
Irfan Pathan Slams Abdul Razzaq
Fans are continuously trolling the former Pakistan cricketer for his inappropriate comments on Indian duo. Meanwhile, veteran former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has also come up with a fitting reply to Abdul Razzaq. Irfan took to twitter to troll the Pakistan cricketer. And he slammed Razzaq by remembering the incident of 2006 to fans when Javed Miandad made a disrespectful remark on Irfan Pathan.
“Your Irfan Pathans are in every gully and mohalla(side streets) of Pakistan. We don’t even bother to look at them.” After this statement from Javed Miandad, Irfan answered him with a historic hat-trick in the very first over of the third Test of Indian tour of Pakistan 2006. Recalling that incident, Pathan asked the fans not to pay attention to the statements of ex-Pakistani cricketers
“Irfan jese bowlers hamari gali gali mein paae jate hay” par jab jab ye galli bowler inke samne khela har baar inki gilliyan nikal ke rakh di. Request to all fans not to pay any heat to those unnecessary over the top statements. Just read and …. #bumrah #ViratKohli,” Irfan wrote on twitter.
