Before the T20 World Cup, Pakistan were one of the favorites to win the title. They played very good cricket in the recently concluded Asia Cup and their pace bowling line-up was considered the best of the T20 WC. But in the first two matches, things have gone totally out of their favor. So, is Pakistan out of the T20 World Cup 2022 after losing the first two games? below is your answer.
Is Pakistan out of the T20 World Cup 2022?
Pakistan faced two last-over defeats, first vs India and 2nd one was against underdog Zimbabwe. Babar Azam-led side is still searching for their first points and is in 5th position on the Group B table. They are just above the Netherlands who have the same stats as Pakistan but a slightly worse net run rate.
Pakistan have 3 more matches left to play in the tournament which are against Netherlands, South Africa and Bangladesh. So, they can’t end up with more than 6 points. After the first two games, India has 4 points while South Africa and Zimbabwe each have 3 points. If two of these 3 teams win two more matches, Pakistan will be out of the t20 World Cup 2022.
Pakistan is not yet out of T20 World Cup but their chances of making it to the top 2 of the table are less. But these chances will become almost none if they lose one more game from here. Also, they are now dependent on other teams’ results.
